We’ve introduced the Vlingo blog to communicate real-time with you — our users. We want to you to give you the latest updates on our product releases, offer product tips & tricks, and share stories about how your fellow users are benefitting from Vlingo. We also want to let you know about the great things happening at Vlingo.
So here’s your first update! This morning, RIM announced the launch of BlackBerry App World™ – a place where BlackBerry users can easily find and download hundreds of applications. At Vlingo we couldn’t be more excited that Vlingo is one the first apps on this store. We think it speaks volumes about how Vlingo is being embraced by our BlackBerry users!
We already know that millions of people use Vlingo to send text messages & emails, search the Web, dial their phone, update their social status and more. Being featured in the BlackBerry App World store is a great way to get more people using Vlingo. With the ability to send a text message or an email by just speaking, Vlingo users can more easily (and might I say faster) connect with friends & family.
Over the next several months, we’ll be adding more functionality to the already existing application. As Hadley mentioned last week, our goal is to allow users to say anything into their phones and have Vlingo understand their intent and take the appropriate action. These days mobile phones are rapidly becoming people’s primary personal information, entertainment, and communication devices. With Vlingo, we know we have just begun – there are so many possibilities and we intend to help make your mobile phone experience the best it can possibly be.
