Last week T-Mobile and HTC launched a new Andorid device, the MyTouch 3G Slide. This phone features some voice recognition functionality they’ve dubbed “The Genius Button”. This offering is the latest and greatest from a company that is looking to offer a similar solution to Vlingo. I won’t go into how it stacks up versus Vlingo, instead we’d like MyTouch 3g Slide users to find out for themselves and tell us what they think. To help make that happen, for a limited time, MyTouch 3G Slide users can download a full version of Vlingo for their Android device for free! All we ask in return is that you come back and tell us how they compare.

At Vlingo, we don’t just have the world’s most accurate voice recognition technology; we turn your words into action. Our goal is to continue to evolve our intelligence to the point where you can tell your phone to do almost anything and Vlingo will understand and take the appropriate action. Since we invented this space, many other companies have started building somewhat similar products. Given that “the Genius Button” might be the most aggressive attempt to match Vlingo, we want as many people as possible to be able to try both and let us know what they think.

If you have a MyTouch 3G Slide, simply go to vlingo.com and download Vlingo for your device. Once you’ve had a chance to use it for a few days, please come back and tell us how the two products compare by commenting below on this blog post or sending us an email at customerstories@vlingo.com. Since you’re getting a $9.99 product for free, we think it’s well worth the 5 minutes it will take for you to send us a review. We’re really looking forward to hearing from you!
