I am simply STUNNED that after the months of communication we have had about the incompatibility of your application with OS 5.0 and Erin's promises of getting me into a beta many weeks ago that I had to find out that your have a version of your product that I've been looking for in public release.
I downloaded the app from a txt message requested from your website and went through the setup process. The app did set up, but locked up my phone when I tried to answer an e mail using it. Also, I do not seem to have the Plus features I paid for so many months ago and have been unable to use.
To say I'm disappointed with your "customer service" would be the understatement of the year. Why did I have to find out about the new product from your blog when I was told so many times that I'd be notified of a beta? I NEED your product because I'm visually handicapped, how long have you been sitting on a beta that could have saved me aggravation and money because I had to buy usage on MyCaption?
I think I deserve honest answers to these concerns, even if the honest answer is that you don't care about me as a customer. Right now, that's the only conclusion I can draw.
So now that 3.3 is working on OS5 I am back to the need to have Vlingo replace "Voice Dialing" on the blackberry when paired to a Bluetooth device such as a Garmin GPS. Any way to do this as your app is SO much better a voice recognition but I don't have a way to select it.
p.s. Also would have been nice not to have found out out the new release on Twitter
I just downloaded the new version on my Storm that is running 5.0 and none of my Vlingo Plus features are working....I am so frustrated.
I purchased a new Blackberry and transferred Vlingo from the older one. The Plus version I paid for does not work and Vlingo says it should if the phone number is the same. It is, it does not!
Getting an intelligent answer from Vlingo customer service is impossible. I get robot answers and no support. Awful!
The wait is over! Thank you for adding OS 5 support! Didn't realize how much I would miss it until it went away! Update went fine and all premium features seem available automatically (thought I was going to have to dig out the license). Looking forward to additional premium features like music control at some point (and willing to pay for them...)
Just bought a blackberry bold 9700. Been hoping to see your ap in the ap world. Any news on when we can expect it to be compatible with os 5 on the blackberry bold 9700?
