I use it. I love it. I do wish, however, that it would understand commands that Microsoft Voice Command did on Windows Mobile Phones (such as "What is my next appointment?") and similar commands such as "Create a new appointment", etc.
meh
This is a crock, a joke. I have an 8530 and although vlingo pretends that there is an 8520 compatible version (ie 2.0, 3.0) it is not to be found anywhere. They have taken great pains, apparently, to block every access to such a program. If that isn't sleazy and disgusting, then . . . Anyway, I hope Nuance sues the &^&% out of them and they are forced into bankruptcy. Would serve them right for being the slimeballs that they are! Go Nuance!!
Dear Anonymous,
You may try downloading 4.0 on your 8530 but please note that it is not officially supported yet. We are currently testing the software to ensure full support & usability. We will let you know once the software has been certified to support the 8530.
Independently of 8530 support, we do retire old version of our software such as our 1.0 and 2.0 versions. We take great care to ensure that existing users of that version have an upgrade path to our latest version. Doing so allows us to focus our efforts on improving the application.
Please contact us via support if you are having specific problems with the beta version of Vlingo on the 8530.
Thanks for your feedback.
